Early to arrive Hong Kong. What to do?

I'll be arriving Hong Kong at 9 AM but the check in time at the Hotel (YMCA) is 2 pm. What can i do while waiting for the check in time? Should i go start sight-seeing? Where can i go to leave my luggage?

Go to a Yum Cha Restaurant to enjoy dim sum or visit the museums in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre right opposite to your hotel.

not sure about the luggage, perhaps you can leave it at the front desk?  (thats what i did, but i stayed at the nikko, so not sure what ymca policy is).

there is a ton to do at 9am.  almost everything you would want to see is open then, or will be soon.

also, if you arrive at 9am, you still need to go through customs, get your bags and get into hong kong, so you won't be downtown until about 10:30-11am anyhow (depends on what transportation you are using).

just strolling the streets for a few hours in hk is exciting and fun!

You can often put the luggage in the room before it's ready - or leave it at the front desk.

After that have a look around.
