  1. Stop asking silly questions & get back to studying & getting your degree (after you have completed your GCSE's or A-Levels.  Then you can think about money!

PS - I earn more than 30 grand (thats 60 grand in dollars)! I work in HR! so up yours.

  2. If you really want to work in a bank, earning £30k it is probably better to start off by looking at the other end of this question...

what can I do in a bank of the jobs available that would earn me £30k a year?

Banks are a complex place with all sorts of functions going on...  the kind of people that can work in a bank are wide and varied... the kind of roles they perform are equally so: office managers, customer advisors, computer specialists, security, cleaners, project technicians and managers, marketing, legal, estate agents, asset managers, insurance advisors, actuarys, accountants, in-house trainers, HR "people" and it goes on and on and on... and only a few of those I've mentioned even cross-over into each others departments.

Why do you want to work in a bank when you clearly know so little about them? Surely an interest in them comes first, rather than the steadfast desire to merely work in one? If it is purely for money, then seriously... Corgi Gas Engineer or Plumber is the way to go, seriously!!! Just because Banks handle money doesnt mean the employees are rich.
