How far do i put foam earplugs in? I can never get a straight answer for this question which is why I can't wear them. How much should be sticking out of your ear? Should you put the whole thing in? is it possible that they can damage your eardrum?

  1. Assuming you are talking about the REALLY soft ones, they are so soft that they cannot damage your eardrum.

Squeeze the end that goes in your ear, and fit it in as far as it will go.

That said, I don't always trust what I read here, so I would check with an ear doctor...

  2. no the foam ones cant damage ur ear drum u need 2 poke in quite far 2 do that and they wont go in that far and they r only soft

  3. With earplugs, as with anything else you stick in your ears, only put it in far enough so that they create a seal around the ear canal and the plugs don't fall off.

You don't need to stick them deep in your ear canal for them to be effective.
