Question:

Earring,5 yrs pierced,how long can i leave it out?

hi ive had me left ear pierced for some time about 5years now i think.i have had it in my ear for the most part of those years.so my question is,even after all this time if i take my earring out for a long period of time,lets say 3months or even up to a year,will the hole still want to close?

  1. Most likely, no.

    But everyone is different.

    I've had my earrings out for about....9 years now?  Maybe more.  

    Just yesterday, I had to go to a friend's birthday party and decided I wanted to put my earrings in again.  And it still went it just fine!

    haha.. =)

    Sometimes, the hole will want to close, but all you do is put neosporin on the earring and it'll slide right in.


  2. i have only had my ears pierced for a year and have left them out for almost 5 months. they have still not closed. really, it depends on if your holes have closed before- mine have but it is not painful to re pierce them. the longer you leave them out the tougher they will become. it also depends on the sensitivity of your ears.
