  1. HIV spread either through unprotected s*x or via open wound or skin, if your ear is pricked by needle of dirty earring the chances are fairly high that you could get HIV, But you should go for testing prior to conclude anything.

  2. I don't think you will get HIV or AIDS through dirty earrings. Does your friend have those diseases? Did your friend wear the earrings? If it was store bought and new, and it was just a little dirty, I doubt you'll have any of that stuff, so don't worry. If it was a second hand earring I don't think THAT little exposure to it would spread it. After all I think it's just spread through s*x, vaginal fluids, urine, and blood. I'm not so sure about spit though, although I think it would take a lot of spit to transmit something like that. Don't worry, you'll be fine. I don't think I've heard of anyone getting those diseases though earrings, it would have to be like a wound, and they would have to drip blood in there, or you would have to be drinking their p**s. You'll be alright.

  3. Firstly HIV is a very sensitive virus, being a retrovirus it spreads by the virus entering through a membrane or by sexual transmission with a HIV infected person.

Exposure of the virus to oxygen destroys viable virus particles.

A scientific classification system of exposure versus risk:

low risk: scraping of the epidermal skin layers with a HIV infected sharp.

medium risk: Needle stick injury with penetration of the sharp into the skin.

High risk: deep needle stick injury with injection of blood inected products into the bloodstream.

From the above it can be seen that you have medium risk of exposure to the virus, this based on the theory that the needle was infected. however, exposure time of the needle to the environment is the considering factor. if the needle had been exposed for than 5 minutes, the virus is no longer viable.

    hope this helps:)
