Earth Hour or Earth Day

Question

Has anyone heard of Earth Hour? Apparently the name is referring to a time when the electricity in certain cities around the world, was shut down for one hour. I know my hometown of Christchurch, New Zealand did this last year. So, is that the name of this "hour" or is it something different, like Earth Day?

Earth Hour was when everyone that participated turned out the power for one hour. There were cities all over the wold participating.
