Earth Hour.......???

How many of you guys took part in it??

Those of you who did: what did you do to conserve electricity.

In my house we turned off all the lights, but not the television.

turned off absolutely EVERYTHING -even the fan- for like, almost 2 hours ! :D

OMG I DID, BUT HALF WAY THROUGH I GOT BORED SO I WENT ON MY LAPTOP... BUT I NEVER PLUGGED IT IN... I USED THE BATTERY

No I didn't take part in it.  Not only is it not going to make a difference, but once everyone turns all the light back on at the same time, it's going to use a HUGE amount of power.  So really, it doesn't help at all.

Yeah i took part in it by turning the lights and televisons off

Turned off both all the lights, put candles on in the livingroom.

Tv was off.  Was on the phone the whole time so I didn't miss it.

Air purifier was off.

Unplugged both air fresheners.

Computer tower, monitor and speaker system off.

DSL modem was off too.

Anything else stayed on or plugged in.

It really ticked me off that I saw mega lights on across the street, including their patio lanterns.  It's freaking cold out, they aren't using the patio, and they don't need those lights on because it's not the main entrance of their house....bozos!

it doesn't make sense to mean... we cannot prevent globo warming, preventing in my sense is just stoping something for a certain ammont of time, we save energy but we're going to use it anyways....

well  earth hour was observed in our city as well as in our university....lights were completely off.4 one hour..i think its a massive step

We just closed the lights, and television was closed, but not because we want to, just happened to be like that.

It didn't hurt us to do so. all the Grumps who deliberately turned more things on .. just will have to pay for their usuage that the rest of us saved on .. silly buggars.

i heard about it and i had my light off. it was kind of cool, knowing that so many people could be conserving at once, there was probably so much energy saved.

In my house, I did a load of laundry, had the TV on, all the lights on, my space heater on, my computer on, and did what I wanted to.

i didnt do anything, but i wish i did,m sounds like a really good idea.............................we should do it once a week................you dont need electricity 24/7 anyway

I spent earth hour by turning on ALL of the lights in the house and leaving them on for TWO hours!
