What type of rock will be formed from a sedimentary rock that comes under extreme pressure and heat but does not melt? Please explain thanks!

  1. metamorphic rock....

    a sedimentary rock that gets exposed to extreme heat and pressure will cook and become metamorphic....if it melted then it would be magma (which when cooled becomes igneous)
