  1. The Earth Ground runs from the battery to the frame. Check to make sure that the cable is not corroded or broken inside and the connection to the frame is clean and tight. You may need to remove the connections and brighten up the metal (Read Scratch with a knife) to make a good bond. You could use the continuity light, but even with some continuity, it may open due to the current load and the corrosion.

  2. The best way to test that is with a volt meter set to ohms.Put one lead on the negative battery terminal and the other on a bare spot on the frame(not the other end of the negative wire) and check for continuity. No meter? Use a piece of electrical wire with the ends bared.Wrap it around the negative battery post and to a good ground spot on the frame and try it.

  3. HELLO

IF THE EARTH WIRES HAVE RINGS ON END UNDO NUT AND REMOVE IT WITH WASHER.

CLEAN EVERYTHING WITH A PETROL RAG AND LIGHTLY SMEAR WITH GREASE, REASSEMBLE AND TIGHTEN DOWN.

MOST COMMON FAULT IS DIRTY CONNECTION.

ALSO HAVE YOU CHECKED FUSES? IF ANYTHING ELSE ON SAME FUSE DO THEY WORK, IF SO NOT FUSE

NOT SURE WHAT A WIRE TO CLUTCH IS FOR?  NEAREST WOULD BE GEARBOX FOR NEUTRAL INDICATOR

  4. A 'fully charged' battery may not be able to deliver the amperage required for the starter due to old age. Put a bulb across its terminals so it lights. Now press the starter. If the bulb goes out the battery is US.

  5. as u know bikes are wired funny, most are earth switched rather than posativly switched...have you bridged the starter solinoid wires?[2  10mm nuts arc across with a screwdriver]..that should start the bike.if it doesnt u need another solinoid,if it does then follow the wires to find its earth...

  6. i would agree with tee
