Earth hour 2008 YAY!!!?

ok i love how poeple are doing thsi tongith and everything but dont we already save power overnight when we are sleeping or when we have daylight savings time,, that takes away an hour of elecrity or energy.. and also will CNN or CTV or any news network b filming this tongight, i know it ironic to say that. i bet on sunday march 31 it will be a big headline.. thanks

If everyone does it at the same time it will save an enormous amount of energy. And people are always doing something during the night, so not everyone goes to bed at the same time.

nah because loads of people, myself included sometimes, fall asleep with TV or lights on. Also, your computer, unless it is unplugged, will remain on standby, your cable box... Your heating/cooling systems run, your hot water heater (which represents a whopping 15% of your power bill)...

Save money and google "Tips for living green" or "saving energy" to find out ways to cut this down.

i already told my parents and they agreed and we will be buying candles today, and i informed my family in peru so they can do the same but then there was an earthquake there yesterday =[, but i hope this (earth hour o8) helps the enviroment
