Earth hour is coming, will you be participating?

Earth hour is on march 29th 2008 at 8 p.m. On this day you will turn off your lights for 1 hour starting at 8p.m. to 9p.m. to send a clear message to our peers that we want to save earth from global warming and not destroy it! Will you be participating or going to the movies,clubbing,drinking, etc. that saturday night?

Yes I am going to participate. I have also been running an environment group at school anbd we are having an 'earth hour' at school. We areturing off computers, lights, air conditioniing ect for two periods. Hope you have a good earth day :P

I will be participating by turning on my lights, taking a nice long hot shower and then using my microwave to pop a big bowl of popcorn.  Then I'm going to set my thermostat to a comfortable temperature and watch endless movies on my DVD player.  If I get bored, I'll take my SUV down to the bar and have a few cold ones while I watch sports on their 72" plasma television.

I urge everyone else to do the same and put and end to all of this nonsense.

I won't be doing anything I don't normally do which basically means I'll be home with only the lights I need on in the home which only has the things we are using on.  While I applaud the message Earth Hour is sending, people need to make an effort more than once a year.

Yeah I will, but not to stop global warming, since humans have no effect on that kind of stuff.  Just seems like a fun way to stick it to the man, and I like sticking it to the man.

I will, but only western people and english based people will in my country. See, I live in Hong Kong. We actually tried to join on christmas, but too many people complained. Too many people complained for one hour. Its just these dumpy old chinese woman *I cannot cook my instant noodle if no electricity I no happy la.

i think it's a lovely gesture, and i hope some of the companies that leave their offices and shopfronts blazing all night take part.

i shall be turning my computer off in sympathy for an hour and sitting talking to my family for a change. we forget there are some pleasures to a simpler life.
