  1. CO2 and H2O are major contributors to Venus, Earth and Mar's atmosphere. Both CO2 and H2O vapor are greenhouse gases. They act like a blanket, insulating the planet and retaining heat.

Venus has to much CO2. As a result it is extremely hot. A space probe we sent to it melted.

Earth has a good balance of CO2 and H2O. It keeps our planet at a stable temperature. Clouds are made of H2O which produce rain which is necessary for agriculture and freshwater.

Mars has very little CO2 because of a thin atmosphere. Any H2O is frozen in the polar ice caps and Mars temperature goes from hot to freezing.

CO2 and H2O make Venus, Earth and Mars what they are.

  2. Vapor and CO2 influences the greenhouse effect on Earth and Venus.  Mars' atmosphere is far too thin for the CO2 to trap in the heat.  Even though Mars is further from the sun, the fact that Mars is unable to keep any heat because of the thin atmosphere makes it all the more cold.
