how do you heal yourself from the spore attack by the mushrooms?

Go to any hospital and talk to the healer, who is a white haired old man who is  always in the lobby, and he will purchase the mushroom for $50. I always get the mushroom on purpose to earn extra money, even though it is annoying when Ness begins to walk weird.
