My computer is a little dated and I was hoping to use a wireless router. I note that the connection to the router is via an earthnet cable and not the USB I am using for the modem - what sort of connection port am I looking for on the back of the computer. If I haven't one can I connect via USB?

Thanks

  1. Hi if your looking to go wireless then you will need a wireless modem/router and an adaptor card or usb adaptor for your pc. The "Ethernet" cable you are current using is from the Ethernet network card to your router, i guess, not the modem, the modem is connected for dial up service's only and is not generally used these days. So if i read you right, the above is what you require.
