Earthquake!!!!!?

Who else felt the EARTHQUAKE her near LA I was scared it felt like someone was moving the house with there own hands I was laying on my bed and at first I was like who is doing that at first I thought it was my dog that was under my bed but then I was like she only weghts 9 pounds she cant move the whole house so I look out the window and my neighbor was there looking at his house shaking and I asked him did you feel that and he said yeah that he was upstairs and he first went to the balconey but then he went running down stairs to go outside. and this was my first earthquake I heard that it was 5.4 I have know clue what that means cuz I only 13 years old and I was home alone and this was my first earthquake!! so who else went through this today?? and what happened with you!! :D

I felt it, and the worst is probably over. Try not to pay too much attention to the news - they tend to blow these things way out of proportion; they do that on slow news days, and the rest of the country loves to hear this stuff because they don't care for us anyway. To answer your question - for every .1 you see, that means it's ten times as strong. For example, a 5.1 is ten times stronger than a 5.0, and so on.

I was at work.  I work in an office building and was on the 6th floor.  The guy next to me thought I was kicking his desk, but then everyone was like *holy c**p*.  It was kind of scary but luckily it looks like no one was hurt.

I felt it! At first I couldn't understand what as happening! I was sitting down and all of the sudden I feel how the earth was shaking! it was my first earthquake to feel too! I was a bit scared!
