  2. There are mainly four waves generated froom earthquakes.

    1.Primary wave, 2.Secondary wave, 3. Love wave, 4.Raliegh wave.

    The secondary wave will not move through water.

    The 3rd and fourth waves are only surface waves.

    The sudden slip of tectonic plate is called earthquake.

    Focus is the real point where the force is released. The epicenter is an imaginary point above the focus point on earth surface.

    The movement of rope can be compared to love wave,
