Earthquakes!!?

Question

There have been so many earthquakes in the last 24 hours!

4.6- 2.50am

4.9- 6.30am

4.9- 8.20am

6.2- 10.30am

4.1-11.20am

Anyone feel any of these?

I felt the 6.2. I was in English and I had my back and head against the wall and I asked if anyone else could feel that, they all looked up and saw the lights swinging and my teacher made us get under our desks!

Everyone's saying that the 'big one' is coming! What do you think?!

Yes, the Southern part of the country is 'Rockin' now.

I have felt the larger ones.

I keep an eye on the GNS page and report back to them when I feel one.

You gotta feel sorry for the people of Matata though, they've been getting them on a daily basis for a year or so, but only up to about 3 on the scale.

It's exciting, isn't it, -to be part of the ongoing evolution of the planet and see it happening.

I was in Edgecumbe for the big one there. It was terrifying and illuminating.

Dont worry just make sure you are prepared for any emergency.  I don't think there will be a 'big one'

Hi Wabby,  All we feel in the part of California I live in is after shocks. In the early 70's the after shocks were so bad the poles were going back and forth and the road was moving and you couldn't even walk or drive. Remember these are after shocks we are feeling. I wish you safe and unharmed where your at Wabby. Be Safe and Smart. Don't what something happening to my friend.

i live in Melbourne and my nana called up from napier saying they had a few tremors, dont freak out too much, check out a little on wikipedia.com under "plate tectonics" give you a better understanding on how it works

I do understand that there are many earth quakes going on but unfortunitatly there is nothing I can do about it sorry

Hey yeah Nz is like that. Have been back here for a year or so after being overseas for 32 years and have had a few earth quakes since being back. I love the awesomeness of them and do believe that theres going to be a BIG one soon. I will be in Australia by then. I live in Picton  at the top of the south Island which is riddled in fault lines

Sounds like things might be interesting over the next few days. Might just be some tremors, who knows? It could just be the SHAME of The Kiwis getting thumped by the Aussies in the League Test at the weekend
