Easier IT Certification?

I am self-studying for my Intro CCNA cert. I am new to IT and although I am a fast learner, I am frightened because I keep hearing about the high failure rate. Is there any other certification that will help my gain entry to the IT field that isnt quite so complicated? The cert still needs to have good job prospects for at least 40k per year.

    MCDST- Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician

    Those are a lot easier than starting off with CCNA
