Easiest TV Question?

i recently bought a rca tube 27" tv. i wanted to do this project from where i was going to get woodgrain pressboard and but it on the sides to make it look more retro. if i do so, will it void my warranty. also, i have buttons on the front of my tv that are not covered by a little door like old tvs. i thought about getting like a spring that used to be on old stereo cabinet and making a cutom door. can i buy those springs from somewhere. thanks

If you permanently attach pressboard to the sides, with adhesive or hardware, it will void your warranty. Pretty much anything you do to a TV, aside form watching it, will void the warranty.

Any hardware store should have tiny, flip open type doors you can use for the button cover. Maybe consider something with small hinges as well, no spring? Just a thought.
