some airlines have an online check in counter.

also, some airlines [like JAL in narita airport] have self check in counters at the airport for those who do not have any big luggage to check in the cargo.

all really boils down to asking the airline's office if they offer any of these.

Plan acordingly. How long does it take to get to the airport? an hour??

then add an extra hour before you leave.

You should always be at the airport an hour and a half earlier, and if it is an international flight, you want to be atleast 2 hours early. Because sometimes those can take longer through security!

So the most for a regular flight in the States, i would suggest leave 3 hours ahead of departial time. SO you will have time to park if nessisary, time to possibly eat something, have time to get there, security, finding your gate so on... I would bring some snacks but now you arent aloud to take on any liquids thru security, but once you get past that, you can bring on whatever food and drinks you want! lol i think its really dumb actually because they amek you throw away ur water bottle at security, then you end up getting another one after that....so dumb

But just make sure your lip glosses and lotions, idk even is you can take those on anymore, are in a plastic zip lock bag.

Make sure if you have any nesessary meds, that you have them in the labeled prescription bottle, and for some you might have to have a doctors note.

Have your ID and other nessesary things ready before you get inline for security. They like things to go smoothly and fast. I hate it becase they make you so nervous, and everything has to be done in a particular order, and they are so fast its really annoying!!

SO just work fast, and try not to be nervous or stressed out!! actually the checking in bags is the easiest part!! just go up to the check in counter (if you have one) Tell them where you are going adn they will bring up the stuff ont eh computer, print out the stickers and put them on ur luggage,and they take them from there!!

But some airlines make you check them in with a person in a  line... this takes forever!! but what you can do is use the self check in if you want, most airlines have this. You just get out all teh nessesary things that you might have printed off the computer and just follow the instructions, we didnt realyl knwo how to use it last time we went for the Bahamas, so we got someone to help us. IT all went rather smoothly!

Make sure if you bring a lap top that you take it out before it goes through the scanner, because they usually tell you to anyway...

Checking in online is great if you dont have any luggage. Although most airports are set up with kiosks all over the place now. So its only going to save you a few mins at best in most airports.

Easy way to travel is simply to cut down on what you are bringing. It will save you time and convience and the airport.
