  1. if you're putting it in the right eye..

left hand - middle finger holding the upper part of the eyelid open

right hand - middle finger holding the bottom of the eye open

right hand - index finger with the contact on the tip of the finger and just touch your eye..

the more contact solution, the easier it'll go in the eye. make sure the contact is flipped the right side out or it's just going to bother you

  2. open your eye with your fingers of one hand then look to the right for your left eye then put the contact inn on the side

  3. Wash and dry your hands.  Shake the contact lens out of it's cup onto your palm.  For your left eye: put the lens onto the left middle finger pointing up (like if you try to balance a coin on the end of your finger.).  With your right arm extended over the top of your head use your right middle and ring fingers to pull the upper lid of your left eye up (just secure it open, don't hurt yourself.).  Now take your left hand and secure the bottom lid in the same way, with the ring finger only (you should still have a contact lens on your middle finger.).  Once both sections of eyelid are secure and won't flutter closed, calmly touch the lens on the middle finger to your pupil.  It should secure itself.  Repeat in the opposite manner for the right eye (i.e.: reach over your head with your left hand and so on.).

NOTE: Do the above procedure once for each eye without a contact lens FIRST.  If you  cannot touch your finger to your eye you probably cannot put in a contact lens , get glasses.

  4. I'm right-handed.  I push my top eyelid up with my left index finger, pull down by bottom eyelid with my right middle finger and place the contact (resting on the center of the pad on the tip of my right index finger) in the center of my eye - always in front of the mirror so I can see what I'm doing with the other eye.

  5. use one hand to hold your upper eyelid (that's usually the one that twitches) look up while you are doing it so you can't see your hand coming at your face, and put plenty of solution on so it is comfortable going in. That's how I do it!!
