Use a heat gun. They are like a blow drier but they get very hot. Be sure to wear gloves.

Use a hot air gun and a good scrapper...be careful with the heat! I always keep a glass of water at hand just in case. And use eye protection.

Get your self a floor scraper with a 5' handle and have fun...it's a bottom buster.......but that will do it........it's either that or pull the old unlayment up and replace it with new....then you have a good clean surface to work with....it just depends what your going over with for new floor........good luck........
