East A wins Men’s 200m medley relay title in Michigan: 2011 Pro Dual Meet
The 2011 Pro Dual Meet began in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Wednesday, November 16. This meet was a vital one for young guns of USA to improve their swimming techniques for their next year’s Olympic trials.
The session of the meet organised Men’s 200m medley relay, where East A’s team of Eugene Godsoe, Christopher Burckle, Commonwealth medallist, Jason Dunford and former Pan American champion, Nick Brunelli rose to the expectations of their followers in the
swimming arena.
More importantly, each athlete of East A swimming team created wonderful splashes and turns in the pool against their opponents and captured the Men’s 200m medley relay title by banging the finishing hurdle in a collective mark of 1 minute and 40.54 seconds.
One of the most important factors in East A’s victory was that they made full use of the experience of their veterans, Jason Dunford and Nick Brunelli in achieving the gold title of the platform. The crowd of Michigan enjoyed the overall swims of East A swimmers.
In the meantime, group of four athletes of East B including Peng Wu, BJ Johnson, Bobby Savulich and David Dunford earned silver medal in the respective race by thumping the finishing divider in a combined time of 1 minute and 41.53 seconds. The swim of David
Dunford played a vital role in capturing the silver medal for East B swimming team.
In addition, the squad of West A involving Christopher Brady, Alex Hetland, Bryan Lundquist and George Bovell performed well in the respective race and secured the bronze medal by striking the finishing blockade in a collective time of 1 minute and 41.73
seconds.
Additionally, the fourth place in the respective meet went to the swimmers of West B incorporating Kevin Doak, Nelson Westby, Joe Bartoch and Alex Coville in a time of 1 minute and 42.23 seconds. Finally, the winning teams including East A, East B and West
A were honoured with gold, silver and bronze medals for to their versatile swims in the pool after the session’s completion.
