East Coast Diva eying to upset Daraghs Book in Williamhill.com Stakes
East Coast Diva will be looking to upset Daraghs Book in the Williamhill.com Stakes at Newcastle in England on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Both greyhounds are capable of winning Grade A1 races with consistency, thus the competition amongst them will be a
really good one.
The latter of the two has managed to win the confidence of the bookmakers today, thus he has been given the highest odds for victory. He will enter the contest with a starting price of 5 to 2 and the punters will definitely risk a lot of bets in his favour.
Although, the young dog does not have a lot of experience, yet he is considered to be a fierce competitor in this class. Moreover, he is carrying the winning momentum right now, which will give him immense confidence.
The G. Gibbinson’s trained hound has mostly run in 480 metres races, which will put him in a comfortable position today. He will have to cover the same distance in order to bag a cash prize of £133 in the end.
However, the young runner will not be entering the race from an ideal position and there will be immense pressure on him. He has been slotted in trap number three, which means that he might get crowded at the start. This could prove to be too costly for
him, thus he will need to be lightning quick in the beginning.
In his most recent Grade A1 outing, Daraghs Book finished on top of the table, despite not being rated as the favourite to succeed. He was up against some very good runners and had to work extremely hard in order to claim the top spot. He did not panic though
and made his team proud at the end of the day.
On the other hand, East Coast Diva will look to spoil the party for the race favourite greyhound, as she is a talented b***h. She knows how to pressurise her opponents and will be starting from trap number one, which will allow her to gain some momentum
at the start.
The P. Rutherford’s trainee has never appeared in a Grade A1 contest though, which will put some uncertainty in the minds of the bettors.
