South’s miseries began when with just two on the board they lost their first wicket as A Mukund had his stumps obliterated by Dinda for two.
In his next over, the bowler struck again by taking out R Prasanna for nil. His destruction did not end here as the next four wickets also had his name on them.
With the top six batsmen back in the pavilion without scoring in double figures, this was without a doubt the worst possible outcome for South Zone.

Earlier, the day began with East Zone resuming their second innings from 129 for six. The side knew that they needed to add a hundred more runs to put South Zone in a spot of bother.
BB Samantray and B Mohanty picked up their batting onslaught from where they had left a day earlier, as they took the score to 189 before Samantray was removed by Binny after hammering a 52-run knock.
With Mohanty losing his wicket on 35, East Zone were left stranded on 202, nonetheless, they still managed to put enough runs on the board to get them through.
