  1. I would not give my kids a duck, unless you live on a farm and plan to raise it.

My friend got some eggs for easter one year, she raised them all summer long, they followed her everywhere (they had lots of land)...then one day (I SWEAR THIS IS TRUE!) her dad took them off to a market!

    It was AWFUL!

Mine are 5 and 1, we hunt for eggs and have small baskets....a little candy, a video and a small toy.  Oh yeah! New outfits for church!

  2. Nothing yet. There are 5 this year so they will get small amount of candy, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, hot wheels for the boys(maybe), and we will of course do eggs. They will all get a new outfit for church b/c that is family tradition. We never go overboard for 2 reasons 1) Its about religion 2) we keep things simple b/c too much c**p equals unimaginative spoiled kids

  3. My girls are 8, 9, & 12.

We do the normal Easter baskets, color eggs, and egg hunt.

So far it is pretty early for us to get started on much but we have bought the supplies so we can make some egg shaped chalk so they can get into the spring spirit and draw on the driveway.

  4. Well I am 13 and I don't know what my mom got me, but she really goes all out on the baskets. I don't know what she got the 2-year olds either.

  5. I hate to give a bunch of candy so each year they get a pair of cute sandals.  It's become a tradition.  They range from 11-15

  6. This year my 4 children are all getting new bikes. They'll also get one easter bunny (chocolate) and some small eggs

  7. Getting live animals for kids on Easter is really risky - for the poor animal!

Unless you live on a farm, or have plans to raise the duck.

  8. my step daughter is 7 and the easter bunny might not get her anything, she needs to straighten up at school first. Maybe some books and a small toy. the baby is 2 months so probably candy (for mom lol)

  9. My son is 2 and a half. I have told him the Easter Bunny will bring stuff that he can carry-so he might use a basket to bring him a treat. He knows the bunny will come soon and that all the bunnies we see in our yard are his helpers-they are checking to see if he is being a good boy and making plans to help Easter Bunny bring him a treat. He is very into all the planning and the decorations we have out.

I have his gifts in my closet already-he loves Thomas and lately Disney's Cars. So I have a plastic Thomas tote for holding his trains and cars and I will put 2 trains in that along with a die cast Mater (this is the top of his list for the bunny to please bring) and Sheriff. I have a Thomas t-shirt and a brio engineer doll for him that I will put in his basket. I have a chocolate bunny of course and will get him a pack of the little "junk" cereal as my mom used to do for me-the only time I got sugar cereal, and a pack of strawberries (with a few nibbled on by the bunny I am sure :-). I holiday shop way in advance so I got his trains and cars and such over the last month as I found them on sale. I like his "baskets" to have kind of a theme-last year his basket was a toy shopping cart with paly food and he still uses that. We don't do a huge Easter, but we want it to be special with family over to have a nice meal.

----Who is getting a duck? Did that get pulled? A Fur Real Baby Duck is a toy that is out now-a line of life like toys that move, is that what people are asking about?
