Easter in Puerto Rico?

My friends and I are traveling to PR for Easter for some fun and shopping. Will stores be open over the Easter weekend or are they usually closed?

Easter Sunday Stores will be closed....only the Restaurants and the movies  are  Open...

Friday and Saturday stores are open but SUNDAY (Easter Day) they are closed except for a few places like some restaurants or other places to eat and the movies .. u might even see some pharmacies Open as well !!

There are stores that will and may have extended hours for Holy Saturday, but for Easter Sunday, the majority will be closed in observance of this day. Walgreen's is usually open because they are a pharmacy but they have the "ley de cierre" or the closing law, where some articles can not be purchased on Sundays for the whole year. Some of these articles are cigarettes, some foods, household cleaners and a few others.  Of course many will want to do that last minute Easter shopping, but like I said, Easter Sunday is very well observed here and no stores will be open unless it is a pharmacy and with restrictions as I have mentioned.
