What do u call it when u see two people watching the sun set and they appear as blacck figures, like,,,

e.g Becky and Gilbert sit on the mound and appear as black shadowy bodies. Later it is seen again as Gilbert shows where he lives. The camera pans across the horizon and his house is seen in one colour, the shadow.

im not sure what word would sound better, or if there even is a word
