I'm just 18 and my boyfriend is nearly 17! (Its only a year and a bit between so we don't think age matters!!!) Anyway at my 18th we both got a bit drunk and basically our feelings kinda came out!!! We've been going out 9months, but have dated on and off for about 2 and a half years!! We've known eachother since we where both really young! And we get on really well, like it's weird but everything I fault in personality he makes up for and vice versa! So anyway basically we both said that when we're older we should get married, and all our friends are always teasing us about how we are soooo going to be married in a couple of years! So basically I was wondering if people thought it's weird that we would even be thinking about still being together in like 5 or 6 years? Do you think we're young and just dreams!

This is just a random question to see what people think! Like am just interested and bored :L lol

  1. Well i am 18 also, i have been with my boyfriend for 4 years!!!! (Too long if you ask me lol), but i think its normal to talk about the future, even if things don't work out its always nice to dream : )! It would be odd if you guys already picked out your wedding dress and set the date 5 years from now, but i guess its good that you are talking about the future with him, its healthy in a relationship and gives it a little hope and faith!

  2. Yes I think it perfectly normal to be planning your love life...:)

  3. I think this is awesome. I would definitely wait until your a little older, so you have both had the chance to mature a little more.

True story; My husband's aunt married and is still married to the same man she dated in junior high. They dated only each other through junior high and high school. They had their children and look great together and do not look bored at all and they have been married for more than 25 years.

    Good luck.

  4. sounds great but kind of like a fairy tale in a way i believe it could happen cause u are both so in luv but on the other hand u guys have been on and off for the last 2 years when u guys get married u guys can be on and off u guys are together forever but sounds so sweet to end up married

  5. i think you're not that young.. i know alot of people that have been together since that age and they are now about 35 and still in love.

if you really feel in love then you probably are!

it could just be young love but you would know that, like when i was with my boyfriend i thought i loved him but i knew i didn't in a way.. but sometimes you will just know if its right!

    hope i helped x

  6. I think it's perfectly normal to be thinking about this. You've been dating for a while, and it seems as if you guys are compatible. Plus, you're an adult and he almost is, so I don't see a problem with considering marraige.

  7. No problem with thinking like that! ive been dating my boyfriend for a year and 4 months and we do the same thing. im 17 and hes 20, so i agree with the age not mattering, as long as it is somewhat reasonable. In fact he has been a bit more talking about it now that our son is born (bit of a oops but he is awesome).

  8. no not at all it is more dream when your young when you don't really know anything about love when ur 13 14 15 you know

  10. My husband and I started dating when I was barely 16 and we got married at 18 and have been together HAPPILY ever since...so I don't think it is wierd at all...Good luck to you both!
