  1. uh.. idk, I know you don't wanna hear this but you sound really spoiled.. they're just trying to teach you the value of money, so you won't spend it all and become homeless or somethin when you're older... get over it, if you don't get a new bag, life goes on.

  2. they are saying you are a greedy little so and so.who thinks he knows it all.all they are saying to you about themselves is when they were young they appreciated  everything.the problem with the youth today is they get too much.youll find that when youre children act the same as you are now youll think back to what youre parents have said to you then only then you will realise youre parents were right.

  3. Your parents are trying to teach you to appreciate money. Evidently it is not working....since you state you could care less.

What do you do?....... Start appreciating your parents and the values they are trying to teach you.

  4. Smile at them and keep getting stuff, enjoy it.

  5. Because now everyone is so much richer than they were. Your living in a world where you get everything, when your parents were younger they didn't get hardly any of the c**p we get nowadays. They want you to basically appreciate what they can give you.

  6. My parents always did that.

    They've stopped though.

  7. Because it's true, when we were kids things were way different.  Our parents went through extreme recessions and money just wasn't as easily accessible.  Kids are much more materialistic these days due to commercialization of things.  We were lucky to have one ugly bag let alone 4 expensive ones.  They may be trying to get you to be more appreciative of what you have.  We work hard for our money and want you to know that it is out of our love for you that we provide as much as we can for you.  We know you could care less about what we had, it's a way for us to express to you that you should be grateful for the things you do have.  There are so many people struggling right now that it is important for you to remember others as well that are not as well off.  We lived off our parents, you're right, but not to the same degree as today's standards, because money was not as abundant for many of us.  Do something nice for your parents to show that you are thankful--make them dinner--dust--something you wouldn't normally do.  It makes us feel much better to know that you are appreciative--ultimately resulting in us doing more for you.  Otherwise you come off as a spoiled brat and there is nothing more nasty than that to us as your parents and believe me other people observe and you become the topic of negative discussions among many.  You don't want that rep.

  8. They're trying to teach you some appreciation, but clearly it’s not working.  You sound incredibly spoiled and selfish.  If you were my child, I wouldn’t be buying you anything else at all, and in fact, I'd be taking away all your little luxury items until you improved your attitude--I’d leave you with exactly three sets of clothes and nothing else, and those clothes would come from the clearance rack at Wal-Mart.

By the way, this is a pet peeve of mine--it's NOT "I could care less", it's "I couldN'T care less".

    Now, grow up.

  9. you are spoiled ROTTEN,get over yourself.
