Easy 10 pts!! my primary care doc gave me vicodin 1 went to er and they switched me to percocet?

when i told them i was still having severe pain and it wasnt helping very well (a cat scan showed bilateral ovarian cysts and kidney stones so i am not a drug seeeker or they would not give me the meds !) it is prescribed for breakthrough pain will i have trouble filling it ? the vicodin will run out on the 25

  1. Why are you having problems filling it?  HAve the pharmacist call the ER doc, and explain your situation and that you are entitled to have your meds.  Maybe try a different pharmacy


  2. no problem filling it they are different medications

  3. DO NOT go to a different pharmacy. If you have done nothing wrong you will have no problems filling the Rx. Going to a different pharmacy makes it look like you are doing something you shouldn't. Getting a regular pain killer then one for breakthrough pain is common for pain sufferers.

  4. You should be able to fill it especially if you go to a different pharmacy, but I would not reccommend taking the two at the same time. It would be like double dosing.
