It's a last name - Speiss. It rhymes with "niece," and "peace," and not pronounced "Spice" as the spelling suggests. So, what Nationality do you think it's from?

  3. It's Germanic in origin I'm sure but as far as what nationality who knows.

  5. yeah its of some kind of germanic origin, but def. not german. if it was infact german they would pronounce it "spice" because in germany they pronounce "ei" like an i and "ie" like a long e.
