  1. WHOA....

You do not currently live in the US so you can NOT say HAS lived in the US, as one of your answerers suggested.  I will not go into it but has + past participle (lived) is a verb structure that precludes you from (in this case) living anywhere other than the US.  Since you currently do not reside in the US, this structure is errant.

    2. is definitely bad

    1. I will go ahead and say this: Grammatically correct- possibly, poorly written, absolutely

Let me give you some suggestions:

First drop the 'now', it is not neccessary.  am seeking is present progressive and by virtue of this, now is understood.

    You could say:

I am a Thai national seeking employment.  I lived in the United States for seven years.

That has a bit of an Asian style to it.

    You could also say:

I am a Thai national who lived in the United States for seven years. I am currently seeking employment in Thailand.

Currently works better than now in this case.

My suggestion would be, 1 without the now, or 'in Thailand' (unless the prospective employer is a multi-national corporation, the company knows you are seeking employment in Thailand- no need to tell them what they already know).  It turns a poorly written sentence into one that will serve your purpose and be grammatically correct:

I am a Thai national who lived in the United States for seven years. I am seeking employment.

    An alternative would be:

I am a Thai national seeking employment.  I have recently returned to Thailand after having lived in the United States for seven years.

    Hope it helps.

EDIT: after rereading it several times, my final recommendation is:

I am a Thai national who lived in the United States for seven years. I am currently seeking employment in Thailand.

It keeps the second sentence from being a simple sentence.  Also I get the feeling this might be for a resume posted online, in which case the information is relevant.

  2. definatley 1

  3. Hey, I would go with number 1. :)

You might try "I am a Thai national who *has* lived in the United States for seven years. I am now/currently seeking employment in Thailand.

    good luck!

  4. I am a Thai national who HAS lived in the United States for seven years. I am now seeking employment in Thailand.

  5. 1 seems less stilted..

  6. I am a Thai national who has lived in the United States for seven years.  I am currently seeking employment in Thailand.

  7. (1) is good.  "an employment" isn't quite right.

You might also say "I am a Thai national who has lived in the United States for seven years." if you are still in the States.  If you're back in Thailand, go with (1) as written.

  8. I am a Thai national who lived in the United states for seven years. I am now seeking for employment in Thailand.
