  1. Check the antenna wire conncetion.

  2. This is normal.  120 hz isn't the end-all solution to motion blur.  It just helps reduce it.

  3. Even though LCD TVs hit the market about 10 years ago, the lag time LCDs have still hasn't been totally licked. The very fastest panels I've seen are in the 2-4 millisecond range, but they usually take a hit on some other aspect of performance.

You panel is probably still in the 6-8 ms range. Yes, all those people that hang around Yahoo answers saying that LCD rules don't really know anything. Between plasma and LCD, there is no best, it all depends on what you want.

If you don't use your panel for games or to connect a PC, I'd take it back and get a plasma. Years ago, even when plasma was new, the response time was usually under 1 milisecond, something LCD still can't touch after all these years. Another dirty little secret of LCD, the resolution of say 1080p for example is only good for still or static images, because of the lag time, when things move, resolution can drop, in some cases to regular definition TV range. The sales people either won't tell you that, or don't even know that.

Plasma will drop in resolution by a small percentage with movement, but nothing like LCD. Plasma's can also, usually show more colors, better blacks, and have no image color shift when you aren't in the sweet spot right in front of the TV. They are also cheaper overall per inch than LCD.

If you game or use a PC on that panel, forget plasma, the risk of burn in is too high. If you want a plasma in the same price range as the LCD, check out the samsung, you can probably get a 50" for similar money, in that price range, the Panasonic is the best panel all around.

Money no object, the 1st and 2nd generation Pioneer Kuro plasmas are the best TVs on the market.
