Easy Mate expected to prevail in Mulholland Bookmakers Maiden Hurdle
Easy Mate has got a very good chance of winning the Mulholland Bookmakers Maiden Hurdle at Ballinrobe in Ireland on Monday, May 28, 2012. The winner of the race will walk away with a cash prize of €5,520.
Stamina will play a crucial role in the 2 mile 4 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 19:30 GMT. A total of 14 runners have lined up for action at Ballinrobe and their names are as follows: Lean Times, Easy Mate, Flaming Hymn, Noble Pageant, King
Malik, Mister Bit, Prince Of Diamonds, Lockdown, Pennys Tune, Whatevermollysays, Get Off The Stage, Silver Invicta, Duhallowcountry and Fern Brook.
Out of the above mentioned runners, there is a doubt over the participation of Duhallowcountry, who was one of the least favourites to win the race today.
Although most of the runners have not been in good form recently, a few of them have got a solid chance of fighting at the front. However, the going will be good, which will suit Easy Mate more than others.
The six-year-old mare has participated in 11 events until now, winning a couple of them. In addition to that, she has finished runner up on three occasions, which shows that she has the ability to challenge her rivals today.
However, the C. A. Murphy’s trainee does not have a good record in races over hurdles, as she has never won any of them. Despite that, she has a solid chance of claiming the event, if everything goes well for her.
In her most recent outing, Easy Mate was unable to deliver a positive result, as she finished 11th in it. She will need to make a lot of improvement in order to outperform others today. She will be partnered by R. M. Power, who has just won three
races over hurdles. He will be looking forward to a strong show today.
On the other hand, the bookies have more confidence in the abilities of Lean Times, who is yet to win a race over hurdles. However, he has secured a couple of runner up positions and finished third once as well. He will definitely be the main threat for
Easy Mate at Ballinrobe.
