Question:

Easy Microwave Dinners?

I am taking my 7 kids to Splash Lagoon in a few weeks for 4 days. Last time we were there we spent way too much on meals, so I'd prefer to bring more meals this time. The hotel room will have a fridge, microwave and sink. I'm hoping to do some making/taking but there are not a lot of leftover type things they (or I) eat. Honestly, I'm tired of the hot dog/hamburg thing. I've come up with making a bunch taco meat and doing a couple meals with it, but what else??

  1. We were just there and took lunch meat, bread, fruit. Everyone picked something they liked to snack on. We took microwave popcorn and lots of different drinks. What I like to do is ask each child while were at the grocery store to pick what they would like to eat. This worked well for us and I didn't spend alot on meals.

  2. Most meats don't taste very good in the microwave, but Lloyd's makes refrigerated tubs of BBQ beef or pork, that are good on buns (there's usually a store brand too) ........

  3. you can do hot pockets, pizza rolls, salads, microwave entries, microwave hamburger helper meals or you can buy an electric skillet and cook them something like ramen noodles, hot ham and cheese, tacos,or sloppy joes hope that helped

  4. rice pasta potatoes( jackets) eggs (poached)beans  fish all these things can be cooked in the microwave its ok 2 have the occasional burger/hotdog etc but u dont want 2 be living on them

  5. you could do the little easy mac containers, its kinda small though

  6. beef stew

    turkey stew

    chicken nuggets

    potato salad

    cold cuts
