i am going to make a website. i need a website builder that just has www. and then my website name .com . THANKS!!! :)

geocities.com...you won't get one with your website name (www.yourname.com) without buying a domain name.

You will need to do two things.  Register a URL (like www.kelkel.com) and then create your website for free on http://TinyPurpleGrapes.com

You can't get a '.com' domain name for free but they only cost a few dollars...

I created my website for free and then registered a domain name and pointed it to my free site.

Here is how I did it.

I made my church's website at TinyPurpleGrapes.com and then registered the URL and pointed it at the site. You can get to my site at either of the following URLs

http://BroomfieldCommunityChurch.org

or

http://BroomfieldCommunityChurch.TinyPur...

Here are the steps to set this up:

Step 1 - Create your site on TinyPurpleGrapes.com

Step 2 – Go to the settings page for your new site and write down the IP address they give you.

Step 3 - Register a domain name with a domain name provider like GoDaddy.com.

Step 4 – On GoDaddy, point your domain name at the IP addresss you wrote down in step 2.

Step 5 - Log into your site on TinyPurpleGrapes.com and go to the settings page. Then enter the domain name in the appropriate field.

NOTE: TinyPurpleGrapes.com is a free service and it is possible that the IP address could change from time to time in which case you would need to update it for your domain name.

you can buy your domain name for ALMOST free at yahoo and use who ever you want for hosting.  i use godaddy.com for hosting and have never had a problem.  i upload my files using filezilla, which is free.
