For starters,when you need to go grocery shopping,make a list of all the things you are out of,and need (ie. Milk,bread,eggs,butter,cheese ect.).Then,pick up a copy of the Sunday Newspaper at a local store,go through it,and see if you cant find Adds.Start clipping coupons!They save you lots of money.

Second,consider buying store brand items.Laundry detergent,dish soap,dairy products,toilet paper,paper towels.

Third,Try buying in bulk.You get a lot of food,for a little more than you would normally spend.And you don’t have to shop quite as often.

Fourth,if your working and you have direct deposit set up,Open up a separate savings account with a different bank,and change your direct deposit so that 10% of your paycheck goes into that separate account.Call it your emergency fund.

Fifth,buy CFL light bulbs,and install them throughout your house.They save you a small amount,but its saving none the less.

Sixth,try not to order out,or go out for meals more than once a month.You save a lot of money just staying home and preparing a nice meal.
