  1. "Zorrozua Coat of Arms" is listed at http://www.irishfamilycoatsofarms.com/li...

(I would assume it has Irish beginnings??)

www.familysearch.org has listings in England ; Spain (majority of international listings from here) ; Saint Martin (I think that's what "SnMrtn" stands for);   and USA (California ; Idaho ; Kansas; Michigan; Oregon ; & Washington).

www.ellisisland.org shows immigrants with this surname from

Arrieta, Spain;  Chascomus, Argentina;  Rigoitiu, Spain;  and

Busturia, Spain  arriving between 1911 and 1921.

www.behindthename.com said the closest match to Zorrozua was  ZORIC--Serbian, Croatian

Means "son of Zora".  and ZORA is  feminine and means   "dawn" in the south Slavic areas of the Czech Republic, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, & Macedonia.

(Looks like to me that the name is primarily Spanish, and E. European. However, I can't find out what it means for sure.)

  2. SPAIN

Ellis Island passenger lists show 4 passengers from the following places in Spain:  Arrieta, Rigoitiu, Busturia and 1 from Chascomus, Argentine

  3. All I can come up with is what might be the meaning of the first element of the name :

    Zorro

    First name origin & meaning:

    Slavic: Golden dawn
