Easy Terms likely to thrive in Bet365 Old Newton Cup (Heritage Handicap)
The Edwin Tuer-trained bay mare, Easy Terms, will find it easy to finish first in the Bet365 Old Newton Cup (Heritage Handicap) that is going to be held at Haydock racecourse on Saturday, July 7. The Class 2 contest over 1 mile, 3 furlongs and 200 yards
is set to begin at 3:25 (GMT).
On the heavy track, the five-year-old veteran runner will show her guts against 16 strong rivals for the prize money of £62,250. In her 20-race career, she has run at Haydock for just once so far.
Since April 2011, Easy Terms has been at the peak of form, grabbing six grand triumphs at various venues. The brilliant daughter of Trade Fair out of Effie marvellously won four races in a row from April 18 to June 22, 2011.
After getting a 6th position on September 17, the E. Tuer-owned maverick mare marvellously accomplished a couple of consecutive conquests during May 2012.
First, she won the Ladbrokes.Com Fillies’ Handicap over 1 mile and 2 furlongs at Pontefract and then moved ahead to stand first in the Sportingbet Jorvik Stakes (Handicap) over 1 mile and 4 furlongs at York.
Now, the T. E. Pocock-bred sprinter is on the verge of a hat-trick that she wants to complete by winning today’s race.
On her way towards the finish line, Easy Terms will have to face plenty of resistance from Number Theory who delivered outclass performance in each of his last three starts at Haydock.
On April 28, 2012, the John Holt-trained bay gelding nicely finished third in the Concourse Pharmacy 25th Anniversary Handicap over 1 mile and 2 ½ furlongs . The veteran horse stepped forward to finish first in the Taylormade Betting Handicap
over 1 mile and 4 furlongs on May 24 while being 9-2 favourite.
The Mohan Fonseka-owned brilliant horse elegantly earned a sterling success in the Trust Inns Publicans Handicap over 1 mile and 4 furlongs on June 13.
Like Easy Terms, Number Theory is also on the verge of a hat-trick. Thus, there will be a tough tug of war between these two runners. Let us see who carries the day.
