Easy and cheap ways to go blonde?

I'm a mousey brown brunette but I'd really like to go blonde, as everyone says it would really suit me. Apparently its really hard to colour your hair to a lighter tone though, is this true?

Also, people have recommended using peroxide, but I know this can really damage your hair?

So any cheap and easy ideas of how I can dye my hair blonde?

No you will turn your hair orange unless you take a trip to the Salon.

NEVER go blo nde on your own.. seriously. From personal experience and from al lthe times i get people coming to where i work to fix their damaged  hair..

Dong it yourself can make it go to a colour you dont want eg orange,yellow

and it will really damage your hair if you don't use the right products. Well it will damage it anyway but you could save alot of it by getting it done professionally. It may not be cheap but it's better than ruining your hair right?
