  1. This is the super short-cut version.  Sautee some strip steak (or even hamburger if you dare) on the side.  Boil some egg noodles, top with the meat and cream of mushroom (undiluted) soup with a dab of dijon mustard and a big dollup of sour cream.


  2. This is a very easy recipe!

    Ingredients -

        * 4 tablespoons butter

        * 675g (1 1/2 lb) sirloin steak, cut into thin slices

        * 1 onion, chopped

        * 2 (200ml) cartons soured cream

       1.   Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add beef and onion; cook until the meat is browned and the onion tender.

       2.   Stir in soured cream, and heat through. Do not boil.

  4. EASY BEEF STROGANOFF  

    1 lb. round steak, cut in thin pieces or GROUND SIRLOIN

    3 tbsp. butter

    1/2 c. chopped onions

    1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (I use fresh mushrooms)

    1/2 tsp. salt

    1/4 tsp. dry mustard

    1/4 tsp. pepper

    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed

    2/3 c. milk

    Hot parslied noodles

    Brown meat in butter. Add onions, mushrooms and seasonings.

    Cook until tender.

    Add cream cheese and milk.

    Continue cooking, stirring, until cheese melts.

    Serve over noodles.

    Serves 4.

  6. Make sure you have nice beef, fillet is best, it's really easy, fry some onions, add some lemon juice, white wine and then cream, add salt and pepper to taste, job done.

  7. Very quick & easy version I tripped over 25+ yrs ago and I never had leftovers!

    Brown 1lb of bacon (I precut to cook faster)

    Remove bacon bits and add one chopped onion to bacon drippings, sautee till tender.

    Add 1.5lb of very lean ground beef and brown.

    Add bacon back to the meat/onion mixture and season w/s&p.

    Add 2 cans of Crm of Mushroom Soup - NOT diluted.

    Add a 16oz container of sour cream.

    Stir everything together and serve over egg noodles.

    Cooking time 10 to 30 mins

      







    Ingredients

    1 tbsp vegetable oil

    1 large onion, sliced

    500g/1lb 2oz rump steak

    2 tbsp plain flour

    2 tbsp paprika, plus extra for sprinkling

    250g/9oz chestnut mushrooms

    200ml/7fl oz beef stock

    2 tbsp white wine vinegar

    284ml/10fl oz carton soured cream

    Method

    1. Heat the butter and oil in a large frying pan.

    2. Cook the sliced onion for 5 minutes until softened. Meanwhile cut the beef into thin strips. Season the flour with salt, pepper and paprika, then toss in the beef to coat lightly, shaking off any excess.

    3. Add the beef to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until starting to brown.

    4. Halve the mushrooms, add to the pan and stir fry for a couple of minutes. Pour in the stock and vinegar, bring to the boil then lower the heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes.

    5. Stir the soured cream into the pan and cook gently for 1 minute, without boiling (if the mixture boils it will curdle), then season to taste. Spoon the stroganoff on to a bed of rice or noodles and sprinkle with a little extra paprika.
