Easy/fast New York strip steak recipe?

Question

I'm looking for an easy and fast new york strip steak recipe. I don't cook often so I don't have any ingredients lying around, so I'd like one that doesn't have many ingredients, but has a lot of flavor. Does anyone know of one?

This is called: Special Strip Steaks

INGREDIENTS

2 (8 ounce) beef strip steaks

1 garlic clove, halved

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon butter

1/4 cup sherry or beef broth

1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons chopped green onion

DIRECTIONS:

Rub steaks with garlic and sprinkle with salt and pepper; set aside. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add the sherry or broth, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.

Add the steaks and cook over medium heat for 3-7 minutes on each side or until the meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145 degrees F, medium, 160 degrees F, well-done, 170 degrees F).

Grill them.  A good steak needs little more than salt and pepper.  I mean if you want put some season salt or garlic salt on them.

Ingredients

1 1/4 lbs ny strip steaks

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh gingerroot, minced

Directions

1Whisk soy sauce, Worcestershire, lemon juice, cilantro and ginger root to blend. Pour into a large Zip-lock bag.

2Add steak, and turn to coat. Let stand 1 hour at room temperature, or refrigerate overnight.

3When ready to cook, prepare barbecue.

4Drain marinade into small sauce pan, and bring to boil. Set aside, and keep warm.

5Grill steak about 3-5 minutes per side, depending on how rare or well done you like it. Let steak stand for 10 minutes.

6Thinly slice across grain.

7Drizzle sauce over top.

This one is fantastic cooked in a cast iron skillet! This recipe is from a camping cook book I have written but can easily be cooked on the stove top.

Whiskey Glazed New York Steaks

4 New York steaks, 10 to 12 oz. each (1 inch thick)

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. freshly ground pepper

3 Tbs. vegetable oil

¾ tsp. all-purpose flour

¼ c. whiskey

3 Tbs. water

¼ tsp. sugar

Season steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat oil in a 12” Dutch oven over high heat until hot. (15 to 18 bottom coals) Cook 4 minutes, turn over steaks.

Reduce heat to medium high; cook 3 to 4 minutes more for medium-rare. (12 to 15 coals) Remove Dutch oven from heat; place steaks on warmed Dutch oven lid flipped upside down.

Pour all but 1 Tbs. of the drippings from Dutch oven and stir in the flour. Cook over medium heat (10 to 12 coals) for 30 to 60 seconds, stirring consistently. Whisk in whiskey, water and sugar. Bring to a boil, scraping the bottom of the Dutch oven to loosen the brown bits and stir into sauce. Spoon sauce over steaks.
