  1. As one poster said, there are some really good frozen dinners.  Bertolli has frozen pastas and there are some other frozen meals in that same area of the freezer section.  You could also just make some spaghetti or linguine; just use a jarred sauce.  If your parents like linguine and clam sauce, you can heat the sauce, and then add a couple cans of drained chopped clams to the sauce at the end and let it heat through.  Or you could add frozen meatballs and cook with the sauce.

You could also buy fresh or frozen ravioli.  If it's frozen, cook it so that it's thawed.  Drain and hen mix with a bought pasta sauce.  Pour it into a baking dish and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.  Cook covered at 350 for about 20 minutes or until heated through.  Remove the foil and then bake until the cheese is melted and just starting to brown.

  2. there are many extremely good and easy frozen dinners. before you shrug this option off wait. there are great quality lasagna dinners available in the freezer section at your grocery store. also several restaurants have started making there signature entrees avavailable in the freezer section. my 13 year old cooks these all the time it is simple you just follow the directions on the package. to make this meal really stand out don't forget things like the garlic bread and salads. set the table very pretty ice in glasses plates and forks  one plate for dinner one small plate for bread and a bowl for salad. about the salad you can also get these already made and fancy at your grocery store all you need to do is toss and serve.

  3. Chicken & Mushroom Bake.

    250g (¼ lb) Mushrooms, sliced

    1 Leek, finely sliced

4 Chicken b*****s. (thighs or drums)

    ½ t Paprika.

    1 Can 420g (15oz) Creamy Mushroom Soup.

    1T Thyme (fresh-chopped) 1t (dried)

    ¼ C Lite Sour Cream.

    Preheat oven to 190C.(375F)

Place mushroom and leeks in the base of a lasagne style dish. Add chicken portions and sprinkle with paprika.

Combine soup mix, ¾ can of water and thyme and mix well, and pour over chicken.

Bake for about an hour until the chicken is golden.

Stir in sour cream and serve.

  4. Make a great meatloaf and some baked potatoes with either a nice green salad or a vegetable that your parents like...those steam in microwave bags of veggies are great...they're quick and taste very fresh....

Meatloaf: Can buy a meatloaf mix in supermarket that has beef, veal, pork

already in it, or you can get some of each of those meats 1/2 pound of each.

Put meat into good size bowl

    add 1 egg

add 1 cup bread crumbs (any brand, any type, but I like the Italian flavored with cheese)

    add 2 tablespoons ketchup

Mix together with your hands...but make sure when you're done you wash up with soap and water.

    Form into a loaf

Put into loaf pan Bake for about 1 1/2 hour at 350 in oven

You also can add a package of either onion soup mix or vegetable soup mix which gives it a different flavor...

I'm sure they will love anything you make for them, its a great gift.

  5. How sweet of you to want to cook for them, but I wish I had some idea of what they liked! (fish, meat, poultry, shellfish, or possible dislikes or allergies)  If you are savvy enough to operate this website, then may I suggest going to the Kraft foods website for simple and delicious recipes, so you can really make something easy that are in tune with their tastes.  Only 13 and you're trying to do something special for your parents, I can tell that you are a big hearted person.  May I suggest adding some additional information to your question so that the many talented people here can more accurately answer your question to better suit your needs. I'm sorry this didn't help much, but I'd hate to copy a bunch of recipes to you and know that it didn't help.
