  1. Simple, red to red, black to black or black to ground.  Anything metal is ground, i.e engine bracketry, frame, ground straps, etc.  Just don't ground to anything painted, the current will not flow.

  2. Positive to positive, negative to negative in all jump starts and hook ups.  Most vehicles have negative as the ground. RED or + marks the positive, BLACK or - indicates the negative side/terminal.

  3. below link gives more than you need to know

    1 - red to red

2 - black to the other terminal, then the other black clip on to the metal frame of the other car

  4. I always did pos to pos and neg to neg.  If it was a side post and a son of a ***** to get to I may just ground the neg on either car.  Don't really matter I don't think.  Have much experience jumping cars!!

  5. ground first off last on

put 9volt battery plug in lighter socket first

you don't want to loose coding in brain box

  6. First put positive to positive and negative to negative on the car with the good battery, start that car.

Touch the other 2 left over connectors and a few sparks should fly (if they don't the other car isnt connected right)

Next hook pos to pos and neg to neg on the other car, wait 30 sec then start the other car

If the negative side of a terminal isnt exposed then it can be attached to black metal near the battery
