I just got a blow up pool from my friend but it has dirt , mud, and more. I need a quick easy way to clean it out.

  1. It might not be worth it.  Those things are pretty cheap to buy new.  Otherwise it's just going to take good old fashioned elbow grease and a scrub brush.

  2. A garden hose and toilet brush should do it followed by a towel to get any stain left behind. Be sure and do not walk on the rocks and debris as it may puncture the vinyl.

Have a volunteer hold one side up while the other uses the brush and hose to loosen and remove the debris and allow it to drain out.

A Wet & Dry Shop Vac might be useful also.

  3. It should be worth it.  I bought an eight-foot one new last year and it was about 40 or 50 bucks.  Plus, you're helping our environment by reusing!

It's probably going to take some good old-fashioned elbow grease and some dish detergent to get it clean.  I would not use a toilet bowl brush as that would be too harsh.  I would suggest a softer brush made of natural fibers or the kind that comes with the carpet cleaner Resolve (that uses powder soaked in solvent or something to soak up stains).

A friend, as another suggested, can help you lift it up to dump it out.

Someone gave this a thumbs-down? REALLY?  Ummmmkay.  Whatever.  Just throw it away and continue to drive our national consumerism, then.  Why do you think India and China's economies are growing so rapidly and they are using so much more fuel nowadays?  Keep 'em working, people..........
