  1. u give nothing about ur style

    what u like

and the fact u want different colors...

i personally don't like accents walls that much at all

    they're hard to pull off

    and don't seem bedroomish

    ur bedroom is u

it's ur room, it should show who U are

    pick ur facorite coor

    go crazy

    and be creative

have an idea in ur head of what u want

and do what ever u want

so long as ur parents allow it

solid colors don't have to be ur only option too ya know

    u could paint stripes

    or checkered pattern

    or stars

    or heats

    or flowers

    or whatever else u want

    morals look good on walls

keep in mind w/e u have now

    posters and stuff

the colors have to somewhat go together, and not be the same over and over on top of each other

meaning, u can't have the same color walls as major furnisher

    or posters

    or bedspread

with out running the risk of it looking bad

it can be pulled off sometimes though

just let urself shine through. ^_^

  2. Here's the current trend. Chocolate Brown: aka. Java, Espresso, Dark Walnut. The next color is aqua blue: aka. Spa, Mineral. Here is a sample.

  3. my walls are aqua and my ceiling is like a light light aqua

BUT a silver colored walls would go great if ur creative and put up cool lighting and like zebra/leapord print bed or like neon color furniture and stuff.

  4. i would go with an aqua color for your walls, and have blue and purple accents... here is a really great website for furniture and rugs etc.... I LOVE IKEA furniture, it is so modern....

  5. how about you try making your walls different shades of tourquise, shades that are different, but go well together....or maybe sea green?

  6. Your personal color coordinator is a color wheel like tool that allows you to easily choose matching color with various relations.

  7. i think it depends on your style and what you like ,great designers always say buy what you love and it will all work out, i like urban outfitters i think they have great stuff at reasonable prices if you have a store near you go check it out if not check out the link below-also i love anthropologie but they are a little steep in price, i love orange and pink together maybe some leopard prints--throw in some gold

  8. would paint aqua with one walk with splaterings of turquise in dif shades. if u only wnt to paint 2 walls paint over gross orange with a lighter shade of indigo and accesorize with linen and bean bags rock! have modern wall paper, hard too explain this, and decide on 3 -2 main colours that u just reuse though out the room will make it look more neat. if have pic of room go to this website 2 c wat dif colours would look like:

  9. to get ideas for colours and how to set up your room I would deffinitely check out the examples they have on the Ikea website.  Also, one of my personal favorites for accessories and that kind of stuff is urban outfitters.

  10. I would say a nice royal blue is calming yet cool, some accessories that always look nice big palm plants, vases, funcky area rugs and some accent peices with vibrant colour such as a bright red bowl or a vibrant coloured light as you mentioned a lavalamp. here are some colours and opinions

make it like your private getaway

from all that drama in school and

stuff it should be really relaxing

  12. accent walls are very nice.

have 3 off-white walls and then a color of your choice.

purples blues and greens are relaxing.

then try to add a wild rug. they have some good ones at target and jc penny.

other things that can help are pictures, and funky things to hang on the wall. try a bulletin board with a funky color fabric and just put a bunch of pictures of you and your friends!

  13. If you like purple, I suggest lilac and a soft green... it's a beautiful combination... get those color things from the paint isle and hold them next to each other to find the right hue... my bedroom is 2 sides lilac, one side a very soft yellow, and the other a beautiful soft green.... the wood work like my door and windows and closets are an antique white... it's calming and everyone who enters wants to stay... I also have some antique white wicker furniture in it... the pillows are the colors of the room...
