    take your time and mark out where you want to start and always check your measurements

    I haven't personally tried it, but I think I will utilize the following a friend described to me when I install mine.  Once you have the length of the route and power source placement planned out (if you have a crawlspace you can enter through a vent, for a basement or slab on-grade you'll have to drill;  I personally wouldn't like to have the box plugged into one of my exterior outlets, rather have one dedicated for it), you can use a weed trimer turned sideways to "dig" a trench into moist ground.  You can either wait till it has rained or mist the ground with a hose.  Once the trench is there, choose a family member with the smallest digits to push the wire in.  Use a wheelbarrow full of fine dirt to go along and lightly top the trench.  Walk over it pressing the dirt down.  Just remember not to dig where you've put wire!
