we have an old suzuki wagon r 2001, the engines bust, (seized up) how easy would it be to sell it 2nd hand, if we get a cheape 2nd hand engine for it.

cos it hasnt had a mot since 2006 or service or tax etc for ages cos its been off the road, realistically would anyone buy it? and how much?

would we need to take it to a garage to make sure there was nothing else wrong with it before selling it?

would it be worth it?

  1. i think a second hand engine could cost you a few hundred quid if the engine has seized it will be the crank shells could always check theese out to see how much they would cost

if all else fails you could offer it for sale as is condition sold as seen you could possibly get a good few hundred quid for it as salvage it will have value as there is no body damage  only an engine to replace

  2. Might be less hassle, and expense just to tow it to a scrap yard

you will get £150  for it,   less the rubber tyres

It will need brake pipes etc for MOT ....

I dont think you will get many buyers   unless they want some panels or donor vehicle ?

Try a free ad in local paper ?   another week wont hurt it ?

  3. According to Parkers.co.uk, a 2001 Suzuki Wagon is worth £1,000 for a private sale in poor condition.  Without the engine I image the value is less.

    Sell the Suzuki on MarketWall:

    http://marketwall.com

    MarketWall is free.

  4. Don't waste money on it. Ask a kindly scrap man to take it away. You could join freecycle and recycle it. Don't forget to fill out the DVLA transfer paperwork.
