  2. Try this....

    375 ml of soya milk

    A sachet of yeast

3 and 3/4 cups of self raising flour (wholemeal or white.. your choice)

    2 teaspoons of salt

    2 teaspoons of sugar

Mix all the above ingredients together in a bowl... Easy... This makes the dough... Chop up a banana and mix it into the dough.. Although I think it would be easier to use dried banana peices :)

Then put into the oven for about half an hour on mid-heat.. (approximately 200')

Nice and easy recipe.. I can remember it off the top of my head. It's great for experimenting by using nuts in the bread too...

    Hope this helps...

Oh it should be low in calories too.. Because the most fattening thing to go into it is the soya milk but apart from that it's very healthy...

Also, the ingredients I've given should be enought to make a medium sized loaf.

    Good luck cooking :) :) :)

  3. This recipe is gorgeous, but i'd recommend double quantities as it gets eaten so quickly!

    ingredients:

    2oz (50g) margarine, melted

    2oz (50g) brown sugar

    6oz (175g) wholemeal flour

    2 teaspoons baking powder

    2 bananas, mashed

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1+1/2 fl oz (35ml) soya milk, diluted with 1+1/2 fl oz (35ml)water.

    method:

preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C, gas mark 4). cream together the margarine and the sugar until light and fluffy. sieve the flour with the baking powder. add this with the bananas, vanilla and the soya milk + water solution to the creamed margarine and beat together. pack the mixture into a greased loaf tin and bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour. remove the baked loaf from the tin and leave to cool on a wire rack.

I'm not quite sure on how many calories there are.. but i'm sure there are few. You can always reduce the sugar content or add other flavours such as orange or lemon zest, or plain chocolate chips.

    Hope this helps (:

  4. I can't help you with calories, but this is delicious.
